About Us
Darla’s Darling Doggies
Hi, I’m Darla!
All of my dogs live in the house with us as our pets. They have free reign of the entire house. We do have a doggie door with a fenced in back yard. I personally hand birth all of my litters. We are a very hands on family. The puppies get touched and talked to everyday for socialization purposes. I have a birthing suite in my bedroom upstairs away from all of the other dogs. I also have a bedroom downstairs that we call our nursery that will hold up to 6 litters at a time. The puppies stay in here from about 2 weeks until they go home at 8 weeks. I do all of our vaccines and microchipping. And I make sure that your puppy is not only microchipped, but I pay for and register it for a lifetime through AKC Reunite. All puppies dewclaws are removed by a licensed veterinarian and are seen between the ages of 6-7 weeks for full physicals and health certificates. All puppies go home with a 1 year congenital health guarantee.
AKC About
Our Breeds
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Lifespan: 12-15 years
Size: 13-18lbs & 12-13″ high
The Cavalier King Charles is of British decent. Cavaliers are the best of two worlds combining the gentle attentiveness of a toy breed with the athleticism of a sporting spaniel. The Cavalier’s beauty, regal grace and even temper mark them as one of dogdom’s noblemen. The Cavalier draws you in with his face, and large, round eyes. Another is their silky coat that comes in a variety of colors. Currently only 4 of those colors can compete in AKC events. (Blenheim, Tri- Color, Ruby, and Black/Tan) Some of the older (or rare) classic colors also include; Chocolate, Chocolate/Tan, Black, and Black/White. There are also Chocolate Tri-color, Chocolate Blenheim, and Chocolate Ruby. Cavaliers love to lay around on your lap, or frolic in the back yard chasing a squirrel. They get along nicely with children and other dogs. Cavaliers equally adapt to active owners like an upbeat athlete, or shameless couch potatoes, depending on the owner’s lifestyle.
Cavanese
Lifespan: 12-15 years
Size: 7-14 lbs & 8-12″
Hypoallergenic
Cavanese are a hybrid (combination) of a Cavalier King Charles and a Havanese. Cavanese are small, fluffy, affectionate, playful, intelligent, social, patient, and loyal dogs. They are energetic and get along great with children. They don’t do well being left alone for long periods of time and can develop separation anxiety which can lead to excessive barking. They do get along with other pets, but have been known to chase cats. So early socialization and training is important in preventing this from happening. Cavanese do not require a lot of exercise, so daily walks and short play sessions are a good idea. They are also not known for being good watch dogs
